September 20 - Claims Management

Hear from experts who help businesses with the process of claims management.  MCO, TPA and the BWC will be on hand to answer questions and provide you with valuable information for your business.

Amber Mactaggert - Amber is an Employer Services Specialist at the Ohio Bureau of Workers’  Compensation . As an Employer Services  Specialist,  Amber  assists employers  with managing their  BWC  policies, claims management strategies, and programs to reduce employer premiums. Amber covers  the  Ashland, Knox, Marion, Morrow, and Wyandot counties.  Amber  is a 2013 graduate of  Mount Vernon Nazarene University, and holds a bachelors degree in Business  Administration  with concentrations in Executive Management and Human Resources.  In addition to working at the BWC,  Amber and her husband Glenn , own a small business located in Bellville, OH.  Amber enjoys outdoor activities such as camping and boating, and also has an interest in painting.

Jennifer Oiler - Jennifer has been in the Workers’ Compensation Industry for 20 years – nearly all with CompManagement Health Systems.  She spent 2 years with CompManagement (TPA) taking hearings on behalf of employers before the Industrial Commission of Ohio.  She is an Account Executive responsible for the oversight of employers workers’ compensation activity.  Jennifer assists with creating and coordinating solutions to improve productivity, decrease downtime and increase revenue through aggressive claim management utilizing BWC, TPA, Trade Associations, Vocational Rehabilitation and Safety & Hygiene resources.

Dustin Napier -Dustin has more than 13 years of experience helping employers manage their Ohio workers’ compensation programs. Dustin has worked in both Managed Care and Third Party Administration during his tenure. With a strong emphasis in claims management from both the medical and risk perspectives, he has helped his clients of all industries, both private and public, provide mitigation strategy for existing claims and available resources to prevent workplace injuries from occurring.  Knowing the financial impact a work injury can have on an employer and their bottom line pushed Dustin to become an advisor to his customers. With the many challenges businesses face today, Dustin enjoys working closely with customers to strengthen their overall workplace safety and BWC program.

October 18 - Stop the Bleed

Trevor Williams - Trevor was raised in Mount Vernon, Ohio, has volunteered with College Township Fire Department since 2006, and worked at Mount Vernon Fire Department since May of 2007. He is a graduate of The University of Cincinnati's Fire Science Program and The University of Pittsburgh's Emergency Medicine Program. His firefighter training was completed at The Ohio Fire Academy and he has been a Paramedic since 2009. Trevor has completed additional programs during his tenure at Mount Vernon Fire Department including Fire and EMS instructor, Fire Officer, Fire Safety Inspector, American Heart Association Instructor, Blue Card Incident Command, EVOC Instructor, ACLS, PALS, ITLS, and NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800. In February 2017, MVFD promoted Trevor to a Lieutenant where he fills the role of EMS Coordinator and Training Officer.  Outside of his work as a First Responder, Trevor has volunteered in Nepal, India, and Indonesia. He married Edra Mantiri in 2016 after they met while working with a coral reef conservation project in Raja Ampat, Indonesia.
